Heck bills to increase access to medical school for students at HSIs and simplify student financial aid application now cleared for House floor vote
WASHINGTON -- As part of his ongoing efforts to to make higher education more accessible and affordable, Congressman Joe Heck (NV-03) today applauded House Committee on Education and the Workforce passage of two higher education bills he introduced. Both bills were generated after local Nevada constituent meetings.
WASHINGTON - The House of Representatives today passed legislation introduced by Congressman Joe Heck (NV-03) to name the Department of Veterans Affairs community-based outpatient clinic in Laughlin, Nevada in honor of Master Chief Petty Officer Jesse Dean. The bill passed the House by unanimous voice vote.
Legislation funds VA, military infrastructure projects; Provides $13 billion more in VA funding than last year's bill; Heck VA medical marijuana amendment added to final bill
