New feature encourages business owners to share stories of harmful regulations

Initiative launched as part of Red Tape Week in House

WASHINGTON – As part of his continued efforts to highlight government policies that are holding back economic growth, Congressman Joe Heck (NV-03) today unveiled a new feature on his official website that encourages business owners to share examples of government regulations holding back their business. The “Rep Tape Register” will feature one story per-week highlighting a regulation that is adversely affecting a Nevada business. The register also includes information on Congressman Heck’s efforts in the House to roll back harmful regulations that stifle business growth. Rep. Heck’s initiative was launched as part of Red Tape Week in the House of Representatives.

“As a former small business owner, I understand the challenges that businesses face during these tough economic times,” Rep Heck said. “The Red Tape Register is a chance for local business owners to make their voices heard about how government red tape is hurting their ability to expand their business or hire new workers.”
